I just want to say that...not all reviews are right. by this I mean that everyone has their own tastes in what they expect an author to always write. As to how the stories should be
Me, I read what others say to see what they had interpreted the story to be and then I read. And I always end up disagreeing with those "bad" reviews.
In SWEETBRIER I cried, I laughed, and I also was angry at both of the main characters, Linnet and Mac/Devon. Yes he was an idiot about how he treated Linnet and eventuality it was revealed why he acted the way he did.
To me I love all Jude Deveraux books, I finally have all her books in Softbank, hardback and in kindle all her stories are wonderful and I have read them over and over.
If you're just starting to read her books many of them can be read by themselves or right after each other. She takes you away to different times and places and you can feel as if you are there.
Please read her books you will enjoy them.
By the end of each book you will wish it to keep going or as in her Taggert/Montgomery series you will see how she mentions her other characters by their history to the new characters. And of course the laughter,the sadness, the journeys that each book goes through is just so memorable you can't help but look for the next book.

Awesome reading......just love Jude Devereaux she is such an amazing author.

Loved the way the story was written
Always read Jude Deveraux. I'm never disappointed. The stories are always fun to follow.
It's okay. The characters aren't terribly realistic, nor is the plot. If someone clubbed my mother to death, I'd be a tad more concerned than this heroine; one town doesn't have all the good folk or all the bad folk; and I don't believe that having an illegitimate child really prevented a frontier woman from marriage or even respect.

The book is good for what it is, and I'd recommend it for a boring, rainy afternoon when a little foolishness and some suggestive passages could fill an hour or so.
Went a young English girl and a western raised man meet - all magic is in evidence is there only their hard head stands in the way. A very enjoyable story with a lot of twists and turns with a good ending (with laughs).
Jude Deveraux is an amazing author and I love everything she writes. This book is moving and fun. From the first page to the last you are on an adventure of love and hope. Read it, you will be glad you did.
